The World Medical Tourism & Global Health Congress Announces the Pre-Conference Quality and Accreditation Workshops. This workshop will address the importance of healthcare accreditation and quality. An analysis of the different types of accreditation systems that are out there will be reviewed as well as what accreditation really means. An analysis and discussion of different accreditation systems will be discussed such as ISQUA, Trent Accreditation, Accreditation Canada, Australian Accreditation System, Joint Commission International and many others. Also we will analyze how different accreditation systems vary based upon their “standards” and “processes.”
Quality means different things to different people. What exactly does health care quality mean? This workshop will address quality around the world, different accreditation systems, and ways to improve quality. How do you assess a hospitals quality and are all accreditation systems equal? If two hospitals are accredited by the same organization mean they have the same level of quality. This workshop will discuss all aspects of quality in healthcare and accreditation and give an in-depth understanding of quality and accreditation in a global world so that your organization can make the right choices.
The pre-conference workshop is Monday, October 26th, 2009 at 8:00am- 5:00pm, with a break at 12:00-1:00pm for the networking lunch. The Exhibit hall opens conveniently at 5:00pm!
