Born out of compelling need in 1967, Boca Raton Regional Hospital has consistently focused its efforts and its resources on one mission and one purpose only; the health and welfare of the patients it serves.

Now, some forty years later, that singular approach to medicine has placed the Hospital in the vanguard of patient care in such areas as Cardiovascular Care, Oncology, Women's Health, Orthopedics, Emergency Medicine and the Neurosciences.

With 400 licensed beds, 800 physicians, a nursing and support staff of over 2000 and 1200 volunteers, Boca Raton Regional Hospital has evolved from a capable community hospital into one of the preeminent medical centers in Florida.

Boca Raton Regional Hospital International Patient Services Program is designed to offer international patients state of the art medical care in an environment tailored specifically for the international patient.

We recognize the unique needs of individuals from other countries and provide a spectrum of personalized services designed to make for a most extraordinary patient experience.

The organization will be one of the sponsors of the upcoming 5th World Medical Tourism Congress, which will take place in Ft.Lauderdale/Miami Ocotber 24-26th. The event will welcome up to 2,000 attendees from over 90 countries and it will be integrated with the Employer Healthcahcare and Benefits Congress, one of the largest US insurance conferences.

This is the first time Boca Raton Regional Hospital participates in this conference. As a successful freestanding not-for-profit hospital, Boca Raton Regional Hospital enjoys a long standing reputation for outstanding physician and nursing services, the most advanced technology and high patient satisfaction.

Even though international patients who reside in South Florida on a part-time basis utilize our hospital, the international community, in general, may not be familiar with Boca Raton as a destination for healthcare. Through participation in conferences such as the World Medical Tourism Congress, we plan to increase our name recognition in the international community.

We also will meet leaders from organizations involved in medical tourism which will assist in promoting our services internationally
, said Mindy Shikiar, Vice President of Boca Raton Regional Hospital.

Our primary objective is to introduce Boca Raton Regional Hospital to decision makers and influencers in the field of medical tourism. This will promote branding of Boca Raton Regional Hospital in Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe” she added.
