Cayman Islands to participate in Medical Tourism Conference in Los Angeles, Oct 26-28th, 2009

The Minister of Health for the Cayman Islands, The Honorable Mark Scotland, and the Honorable W. McKeeva Bush, Minister of Financial Services, Tourism and Development, Cayman Islands will be participating at the upcoming World Medical Tourism and Global Health Congress, on behalf of the Cayman Islands. The Cayman Islands has tremendous potential and opportunities in developing inbound medical tourism. Patients from the Cayman Islands who need specialized medical treatment will travel outbound to countries such as the United States to receive high quality medical care.

Anthem Blue Cross announced as co-sponsor of networking reception at World Medical Tourism and Global Health Congress, on October 28th, 2009

The networking reception will feature up to 1,500 delegates from the both the World Medical Tourism and Global Health Congress and the Corporate Wellness Conference. The Medical Tourism Association was Honored to Participate in the Familiarization Tour of Malaysia

The Medical Tourism Association was honored to participate in the Familiarization “FAM” tour in the exquisite country of Malaysia in Asia Pacific. Facilitators and Insures from and United States of America were in attendance. “Malaysia is the hidden secret international patients are ready to see; with top notch healthcare and indisputable hospitably, Malaysia is truly the heart of Asia” said Armando Polanco President of Texas Benefit.

Malaysian FAM tour was sponsored by the Ministry of Health http://www.moh.gov.my/MohPortal/index.jsp (MOH) and included visits to top international hospitals in the country including Prince Court Medical Center, IJN (National Heart Institute) Hospital, Pantai Hospital, KPJ Damansara Specialist Hospital, Loh Guan Lye Specialists Center, Sime Darby Medical Center, Penang Adventist Hospital, and Gleneagles Medical Center, Penang.

Providers also had a chance to embrace the tourism Malaysia has to offer including a sky bridge tour of the renowned Petronas Twin Towers, and a UNESCO heritage city tour through picturesque Penang.
